Not all of our projects are huge renovations. A great example of this is the work we’ve done for a family called Hawkins, who have commissioned us six times in the last three years on a multitude of different projects.

Our relationship with the family started in 2016, when Andy Hawkins asked us to build a pergola at the back of his home in Sydney’s Lilyfield. He had a firm idea of what he wanted – something unique in a Japanese-style – so we helped him revise the concept to make it more cost effective. A few months later, we returned to rebuild the facade of his home, which needed new cladding, a new deck and front door, plus a new roof.

Andy then referred us to his sister Gay, who wanted to extend her NSW holiday home to include a second bathroom and a new kitchen. We also converted her existing garage into a studio with an added laundry. She then recommended us to her daughter, Nina, who tasked us with transforming her existing laundry into a spacious family-friendly bathroom with enough room to house a generous bathtub. Most recently, we’ve completed more work at Gay’s holiday home – and Nina’s commissioned us to renovate her home in 2021.

It’s been such a privilege to work with the Hawkins over an extended period of time, and to help transition their spaces as their family grows and their lifestyles flex and change.
